THE THIRD DOOR
The follow-through problem
Here's the uncomfortable part: perfect systems fail under a person who won't act. The gym membership didn't lift the weights. The CRM didn't make the calls. At some point every automation hits the one component you can't outsource — you.
So the third level is the human one: engineering your own follow-through the way you'd engineer any system. A target you actually chose. A floor for the bad days so a hard day still counts. Grace built into the scoring, because a mark measures what you did — it never gets to say who you are.
That's the Gutsy Goals method, and it's the part of my work I've practiced longest — daily, out loud, with my own numbers on the board. The book comes out this fall.
